I am sure the thoughts will continue as the current administration progresses.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.comBlogger129125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-77493220921558322782012-08-01T19:36:00.000-04:002012-08-02T20:41:40.397-04:00Support Freedom of Speech by Eating More Chicken<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Who would have thought that Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion would be synonymous with "EAT MOR CHIKIN"?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">That is what we are looking at now.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Freedom of Speech -- a Constitutionally protected right, and Freedom of Religion -- another Constitutionally protected right are being attacked, insulted, denigrated, and almost destroyed to the point that the average American is supposed to be afraid to express his or her own strongly held, personal views.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I say "supposed to be" because I believe it is the goal of the "other side" to shut down expression of speech, opinions, thoughts, and ideas from any who are different from themselves; we are not to dare to speak our minds . . . in the "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Utopian<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">" world desired by the liberals, we are all to be a collective of one mind, one thought, one purpose . . . and therefore, at "peace" because we would all be subject to the control of one source of "guidance:" the liberals'.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Trouble is, this idea of "peace" means nothing more than one side (the conservatives and republicans) shutting down completely, becoming passive, giving up in abject submission to the view of those who scream the loudest, threaten the fiercest, and impose the most fear.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Remember, that's the only way liberals operate: they threaten, they attack, they insult, they denigrate . . . while the rest of us are supposed to just agree and acquiesce to their "suggestions" . . . regardless of our own personal feelings, perspectives, and opinions. In their world none of that matters; only what we are allowed to have by their graciousness matters.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">When is this disgusting mentality going to stop? Never, it appears, because they do not know any other way.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">When are we, who do not subscribe to those views, going to stop allowing ourselves to be browbeaten, threatened, and cowed into silence?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">NOW. Today. This year. TODAY. Now is when we will be even more outspoken in our beliefs.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">At one of our local Chik-Fil-A restaurants this afternoon, my 70 year old husband, my 84 year old Mom, and I stood in line for more than a half hour to eat "MOR CHIKIN" just because what had been done to that private company during the past week was not only unconscionable but just plain evil.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The CEO merely expressed his personal opinion in response to a question during an interview with a Biblically based magazine. The question was Biblically based, the response was Biblically based. The man did nothing more than express his personal, individual beliefs. He expressed the specifics of what he holds dear to his personal spirituality.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">What, in any sensible world, could be "wrong" with that? Nothing, in a sensible, honest, and truly sincere world.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">But in an <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Upside Down World<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">, nothing can be expected to be sensible. In the type of world in which we currently find ourselves, we almost have to take for granted that whatever a conservative says, does or even just thinks will be distorted, misrepresented, lied about.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The typical liberal response to most things conservative usually reflects those characteristics.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The CEO of Chik-Fil-A's responses were nothing more than an honest response representative of the man's personal beliefs. Regardless, these howling mobs are ready to do exactly what they are so quick to accuse everyone else of doing: discriminate, misjudge, falsely accuse, all mixed in with hypocritical bigotry . . . the very same horrors that make up their own characters!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Since the election season of 2007-2008, the liberals have used every possible method to try to shut down conservative speech, using those very same tactics described above, and many more not worthy of discussion. The main weapon in their arsenal, during that election period, just as it is now, is to accuse anyone who dares express the least disagreement with this administration's activities of being "racist."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Because of that era of our country's history, which the liberals make sure is never -- ever -- forgotten or even left behind, (as if this were the only country in the history of the world with slavery in its history!) they have taken this false accusation to an absolute level of absurdity.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Unfortunately, the incomprehensible level of self-imposed guilt taken on by a large percentage of our countrymen has made this accusation a very powerful weapon . . . in the past. Thank God perceptions change, and people realize that allowing one's self to be controlled by a long-past guilt is ridiculous at best and self-destructive to the extreme at worst.

Our countrymen's collective self-imposed guilt has taken our country a long way to the self-destruct point.

I do not believe we will get there, however. All is not lost. At least not yet, and not if millions of us have anything to say about it.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Thank God, most especially, for outspoken, strong leaders like Governor <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Mike Huckabee<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">, Sarah Palin, and the millions of "regular" Americans who went out in the proverbial droves all day today, all over the country, who have the courage of their convictions, have had their fill of being threatened, insulted and destroyed just because they are sincere in their beliefs. We all need to have had our fill of the methodology utilized by the left to shut us down, shut us up and hopefully make us all go away, somehow.

Strength of character such as that shown by Chik-Fil-A's Chief Executive Officer is one to be held up as an example for all Americans who believe in the true American Dream as described in our Bill of Rights and our Constitution.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">That's the recipe that our Country needs more of, and the mix is getting stronger and stronger every day.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The Conservative refusal to be cowed any longer started in 2009 with the rise of the "T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already!) Party" in protest of the liberal/progressive rise to power of Obama and his supporters, their goal to control every single American through heavy taxation, legislation, rule-making, and their clearly destructive intent to destroy our heritage.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I sincerely believe the only reason this administration came to power is because Americans put their brains on hold in the 2008 election, in addition to allowing themselves to be cowed by "historical guilt" but it encouragingly appears that, as has been so originally said before, "The Sleeper" has awakened -- at last!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">By the end of 2010, the Liberal/Progressives were wishfully thinking out loud -- stridently so, as they tend to do -- that the "Tea Party is dead."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Today should show any rational, honest, sincere thinking person that the "reports of [our] death were premature," to say the least!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Being active, non-stop "T.E.A. Party" members since 2009 ourselves, going to Chik-Fil-A this afternoon was very much like going to any other gathering we've attended during the past three years in various areas of our region.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">It was yet one more opportunity to express our beliefs in, and support for, the Constitution, long-held American values and standards, and to support an American who is not "relative" in his beliefs.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The unrestrained, vociferous and hate-filled reaction of the "other side" should clearly show to anyone the danger we all face should this administration and its supporters be given four more years to impose and complete their destructive agenda.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Conservatives must emulate the courage of <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Chick-fil-A Chief Executive Dan Cathy<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">, speak our minds honestly, sincerely, and clearly while we hold fast to our own values, even in the face of the very bigotry, hatred, extreme insensitivity and dishonesty of which we are constantly accused ourselves.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We know the truth. We must hold fast . . . November 6, 2012 is not that far away.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-3739104478838672642012-07-30T20:39:00.001-04:002012-07-30T20:39:30.742-04:00Here's "Fairness" Again!<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">These people just do not give up! No matter how often their claims, theories, suppositions and declarations are proven to be nothing more than lies, they will not give up their claims.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">OK, fine . . . we do have this little thingie in our country called "Freedom of Speech," right? So that means that they -- along with everyone else, supposedly, have the freedom to express their opinions, whether pro or con, on any issue, right?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Well . . . wrong.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Not when we live in what may soon be the Socialist States of America. Apparently, according to the Liberal Left, the only voices that have that constitutionally protected right - Freedom of Speech - is . . . guess who? The Left, of course, and only the left.

No other voices have the same rights . . . because, of course (!) only they are "right," "know better," and "mean well." No one else. So, based on this oh-so-sincere, honest, and "fair" premise, no one else has the right to the constitutionally protected right of Freedom of Speech.

<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/rush-hannity-savage-face-death-by-obama<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">They tried to bring back the so-called "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Fairness Doctrine<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">" earlier in this administration, but, due to the immediate outcry, could not. Not the types to give up, though, they're bringing it up again. (After all, they've been trying to impose their "utopia" for over 50 years!)

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">True, they claim the targets of the "doctrine" are "only" the media: TV, radio, print. If anyone believes that, I've got a really cool bridge to sell. (Call me!)

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Anyone gullible enough (like most liberals) who believes that this "fairness" doctrine is anywhere near the definition of the word "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">fair<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">" is even more gullible than the folks who shut their brains down in 2008 and voted for this administration in the first place.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">As we have heard in recent months, this administration's definition of the word always seems to involve taking [stealing, to be more accurate] something from one person or group to "give" to another person or group . . . as in Mr. Obama's exhortation to <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Joe Wurzelbacher<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We are supposed to accept that this type of mentality really is "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">fair<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">" in any universe, not just in the topsy-turvy, upside-down, inside-out, black is white, and white is black "Brave New World" in which we now find ourselves.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The attempt to reinstate this so-called "doctrine" is just a follow up, I believe, to the horrendous, revolting and disgusting recent attempts by Leftists to intimidate and silence practicing Christians under the sordid reasoning that comments made by the CEO of a private enterprise, Chick-fil-A, about his own personal, individual beliefs -- in response to an interview question from a biblically-based interviewer, are supposedly "hate-speech."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Such atrociousness should not even be acknowledged, much less discussed in any manner at all -- must be given short shrift -- when we have the rabid reactions of the liberal left insisting now that one's personal religion, and one's expression thereof, is now "hate."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I can't believe anything can be more revolting or disgusting than the combination of those excellent examples of "American standards," <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Chicagoans Rahm Emanuel and<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> Thomas Menino; let's not forget Boston's mayor and the several others who climbed out of the woodwork to spew their venom and threats.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">In response to Emanuel, I say, "Thank the Good Lord that Chicago standards are not my standards!"

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">And, with this as the background, we are to accept that the "Fairness Doctrine" is a sincere attempt to be "fair" to "all" points of view in the media industry?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Uh-huh. Right. Sure.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-55933369481034098982012-07-30T18:33:00.002-04:002012-07-30T18:33:39.953-04:00Records Speak for Themselves

Just Shut Down Your Business<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">In recent days we've had the ongoing argument of whether a speech played practically in its entirety is "in context."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">With the well-known liberal habit of parsing, splitting frog's hairs, and debating the meaning of the word "is," we are now debating whether Mr. Obama actually said <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">what he said<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> and in what supposed context he said it -- or didn't say it.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I was sitting right here in front of the tube and watched the the whole darned speech, and as in many cases with liberals, I am going to choose to believe what my lyin' eyes and ears saw and heard -- not what liberals tell me I saw and heard.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We've also heard a lot about the so-called "health-care bill," and a slew of stuff about what it is, what it is not, what it will do, and what it will not do.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Based on my experience with my own lyin' eyes and ears these past 3+ years, I tend to believe there is no way that "health-care" bill has anything to do with "health care" other than just taking over the system and achieving the long-held liberal goal of "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">universal health care<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">." Taken at Obama's word, the so-called "<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" has nothing to do with bringing down the cost to make anything "affordable," but, as any thinking person has known since 2009, everything to do with pulling every citizen ever more completely under the total control of the government in every aspect of their lives.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">There has been constant denial by the government -- of course -- that its goal is any such thing. (Here again, who ya gonna believe?)

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We've also been told that the health care bill will be a boon to mankind, ensuring that every citizen will have "coverage," and that no one will have to take the chance of <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">having a leg cut off just because the surgeon wants to get more money from the insurance company<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">; that no one will <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">lose their doctor<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> if one likes their doctor (strange how my 84 year old Mom has already lost 3 doctors since 2009; they pulled out of Medicare); that the overall cost of <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">health care will go down<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">; and an unending, nauseating list of blatant lies.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The most glaring lie was made public recently by Kathleen Sibelius' recent dictate that all insurance policies must conform to government requirements, including <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">giving abortion and birth control<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> "services" in all employer-provided policies, regardless of personal, religious beliefs of the employer.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">These are just the highlights, of course.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">But, let's summarize so far: the "health care" bill forces us to accept a government-approved level of "insurance," which will ultimately be provided by the government only; we will not be able to keep our own doctor (not if they leave their careers, as <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">a great number<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> have said they will); and the millions more who are placed into the non-existent "<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">exchanges<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">," are somehow going to lessen the cost and burden on the industry as a whole . . .

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">All of this is just wonderful and totally hunky-dory, fine-n-dandy, right? Right. So far, so good.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Now, let's add yet another level of government control. We are today witness to the complete removal of the mask from the face of our current "government." Their intent has been made completely clear in their ultimate desire to dictate to us, the American people the what, how, when, where, and why of every aspect of our lives.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">With the power created by and placed into the hands of the government specifically by this "Act," Kathleen Sibelius not only feels she can order citizens to breach their own religious beliefs by forcing them to pay for services that are anathema to their personal beliefs, she feels she can now tell a private corporation to either <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">follow their dictates or to shut down<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This is beyond the head-shaking disbelief we've been experiencing these past 3 years. This is the kind of government control, government dictatorship, and takeover of every individual that is -- or at least should be -- completely unacceptable in our world.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This idea would have been unthinkable a few years ago . . . maybe only 6 years ago. In today's <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">upside down world<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">, however, it is hardly surprising that the government would say one thing while consciously knowing what they said is a lie.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The current administration is not only forcing all Americans to get their insurance coverage from one source (the government), <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">student loans<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> from one source (the government), <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">home loans<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> from one source (the government), but now we are going to be told by the government whether we can stay in business or not.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">On what possible basis, constitutional or not (<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Justice Roberts notwithstanding<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">), can this dictatorial régime feel it could once again try to force its demands on law-abiding, self-sufficient American citizens?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">In what other country but a socialist one, can a government threaten, brow-beat, beat down a private company to force that company to either "accept" government orders or shut down!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">America: Wake Up! Our Republic has almost completely disappeared.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We are, for all intents and purposes, now living under a dictatorship. For those who do not understand the actual meaning of the word -- without parsing hairs -- it means living under a government whose sole purpose is to control, dictate, impose its will upon, and force the populace to do exactly as that government wants -- regardless of the individual's desires.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">In this type of government, the individual has no meaning. The individual is nothing. All that matters is the <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">collective<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> and the collective is composed only of those <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">chosen by the régime<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">. Anyone with an "older" education should have recognized this government as 1984 come to life and been frightened since the start.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Religious beliefs do not matter, personal or individual preferences and desires do not matter. This dictatorship is classic: nothing matters but "The Collective," and "The Government" when decisions and determinations are to be made for the worker by the government and we are not to question.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Well, guess what -- We the People say, nope, don't think so, no way. We will NOT sit down and shut up and we will dare to <span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">fight back<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> and we will not stop.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">November 6, 2012 can't get here a minute too soon. The life of our Republic depends on it.
do not know who wrote the piece following my thoughts, but I would
very much like to shake his hand with respect; his name is intact at the end. He
has hit right onto some of the most important myriad reasons that we are now on the
brink of losing our Country.

It is for these reasons, and
many more, that we must do everything we possibly can to change
everything that is controlling this country from the top down. Yes,
it is imperative we also look at those in charge at the local and
state levels . . . this "transformation" must be stopped at
every level this year -- or we can say goodbye to the Republic of the
United States of America.

I understand folks are probably
tired of these political things: between the TV commercials, the news
programs, the robocalls, the talk shows, etc., it can certainly can get tedious and
annoying. But this is much too important to get tired of: our
current, as well as future, Country is gravely at stake.

I
begged folks to pay attention, not to be taken in by the flash and
dance, in 2008; I've done it almost non-stop since then. Four years
later, I beg everyone even more strongly. Look around -- is this
really the America you want?

I can tell you, this is not the
America to which I pledged my allegiance with all my heart when I
became a naturalized American in 2004 (after living here since 1964, by the way). The
country I originally came from was very much like what our Country is
now turning into.

I guess that's why I recognized the problem
[danger] so easily. That is why my family, and so many other
thousands -- from other countries as well -- left our countries to
come to the U.S.A.: for personal and individual freedom, for the
opportunity (not
the guarantee)
to succeed at whatever level we
individually
decided
success was right for us,
for the right to speak, think, act, and live as we all wished -- as
long we denied no others the same rights.
(Simple fact is, there was quite enough of that going on in the
countries we left behind.)

Those, to my family, and millions
of other immigrants, were some of the reasons we
came here.

Now, I unfortunately have to wonder, is there going to be
a reason to stay here anymore? We came to live in the Republic
of the United States of America;
we fear we no longer live there.

From the depths of my own
frustration level, I have to ask: Don't folks realize that if we lose
the Republic, there are almost no other places to which one can go
to have the same freedoms so many have apparently taken for granted for so
long, and are in clear danger of losing?

We must fight to keep
our Republic: November 6, 2012 is our last chance -- there is no
doubt
about it.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Obama's
Second Term Transformation Plans

The 2012 election has often
been described as the most pivotal since 1860. This statement is not
hyperbole. If Barack Obama is re-elected the United States will never
be the same, nor will it be able to re-capture its once lofty status
as the most dominant nation in the history of mankind.

The
overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama's
first term was dedicated to putting in place executive power to
enable him and the administration to fulfill the campaign promise of
"transforming
America" in his second term regardless of which political
party controls Congress. That is why his re-election team is
virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent or prospective Democratic
Party office holders.

The most significant accomplishment of
Obama's first term is to make Congress irrelevant. Under the myopic
and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the
Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a second
term, a potentially dictatorial presidency.

During the first
two years of the Obama administration when the Democrats
overwhelmingly controlled both Houses of Congress and the media was
in an Obama worshiping stupor, a myriad of laws were passed and
actions taken which transferred virtually unlimited power to the
executive branch.

The birth of multi-thousand page laws was
not an aberration. This tactic was adopted so the bureaucracy
controlled by Obama appointees would have sole discretion in
interpreting vaguely written laws and enforcing thousands of pages of
regulations they, and not Congress, would subsequently write.

For
example, in the 2,700 pages of Obama Care there are more than 2,500
references to the Secretary
of Health and Human Services. There are more than 700 instances
when he or she is instructed that they "shall" do something
and more than 200 times when they "may" take, at their sole
discretion, some form of regulatory action. On 139 occasions, the law
mentions that the "Secretary determines." In essence one
person, appointed by and reporting to the president, will be in
charge of the health care of 310 million Americans once Obama Care is
fully operational in 2014.

The same is true in the 2,319 pages
of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform
Act which confers nearly unlimited power on various agencies to
control by fiat the nation's financial, banking, and investment
sectors. The bill also creates new agencies, such as the Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau, not subject to any oversight by
Congress. This overall process was repeated numerous times with other
legislation all with the intent of granting unfettered power to the
executive branch controlled Barack Obama and his radical
associates.

Additionally, the Obama administration has,
through its unilaterally determined rule making and regulatory
powers, created laws out of whole cloth. The Environmental Protection
Agency on a near daily basis issues new regulations clearly out of
their purview in order to modify and change environmental laws
previously passed and to impose a radical green agenda never approved
by Congress. The same is true of the Energy and Interior Departments
among many others.None
of these extra-constitutional actions have been challenged by
Congress. The left in America knows this usurpation of power is
nearly impossible to reverse unless stopped in its early stages.

It
is clearly the mindset of this administration and its appointees that
Congress is merely a nuisance and can be ignored after they were able
to take full advantage of the useful idiots in the Democrat
controlled House and Senate in 2009-2010 and the Democrat Senate in
the current Congress.

Additionally, Barack Obama knows after
his re-election a Republican controlled House and Senate will not be
able to enact any legislation to roll back the power previously
granted to the Executive Branch or usurped by them. His veto will not
be overridden as there will always be at least 145 Democratic members
of the House or 34 in the Senate in agreement with or intimidated by
an administration more than willing to use Chicago style political
tactics.

The stalemate between the Executive and Legislative
Branches will inure to the benefit of Barack Obama and his fellow
leftists.

The most significant power Congress has is the
control of the purse-strings as all spending must be approved by
them. However, once re-elected, Barack Obama, as confirmed by his
willingness to do or say anything and his unscrupulous re-election
tactics, would not only threaten government shutdowns but would
deliberately
withhold payments to those dependent on government support as a
means of intimidating and forcing a Republican controlled Congress to
surrender to his demands, thus neutering their ability to control the
administration through spending constraints.

Further, this
administration has shown contempt for the courts by ignoring various
court orders, e.g. the Gulf of Mexico oil drilling moratorium, as
well as stonewalling subpoenas and requests issued by Congress. The
Eric Holder Justice Department has become the epitome of corruption
as part of the most dishonest and deceitful administration in
American history (see the "Fast and Furious" saga). In a second term the arrogance of Barack Obama and
his minions will become more blatant as he will not have to be
concerned with re-election. (As
he happened to whisper
to Medvedev.)

Who
will be there to enforce the rule of law, a Supreme Court ruling or
the Constitution? No one. Barack Obama and his fellow-travelers will
be unchallenged as they run roughshod over the American people, more
than ever before.

Many Republicans and conservatives
dissatisfied with the prospect of Mitt Romney as the nominee for
president are instead focused on re-taking the House and Senate. That
goal, while worthy and necessary, is meaningless unless Barack Obama
is defeated. The nation is not dealing with a person of character and
integrity but someone of single-minded purpose and overwhelming
narcissism. Judging by his actions, words and deeds during his first
term, he does not intend to work with Congress either Republican or
Democrat in his second term but rather to force his radical agenda on
the American people through the power he has usurped or been
granted.

The governmental structure of the United States was
set up by the founders in the hope that over the years only those
people of high moral character and integrity would assume the reins
of power. However, knowing that was not always possible, they
dispersed power over three distinct and independent branches as a
check on each other.

What they could not imagine is the
surrender and abdication of its constitutional duty by the preeminent
governmental branch, the Congress, to a chief executive devoid of any
character or integrity coupled with a judiciary essentially powerless
to enforce the laws when the chief executive ignores
them.

Conservatives, Libertarians, the Republican Party,
Independents, and Mitt Romney must come to grips with this moment in
time and their historical role in denying Barack Obama and his
minions their ultimate goal. All resources must be directed at that
end-game and not merely controlling Congress and the various
committee chairmanships.

Steve McCann, May 12, 2012

Based on the Dissenting Opinion as well as on the Majority Opinion, it would appear to this American that the honorable justices did something pretty weasel-y. They rationalized their final Opinion by picking for themselves which of the arguments presented by the regime was the one which best fit their decision: this "law" is a "Tax" not a "Mandate."

Right. Uh-uh.

A "mandate," supposedly would have been "unconstitutional," but imposing a "tax" that punishes American Citizens by further destroying the economy, threatens Citizens with huge fines and even jail, needed to have an additional 16,000 new "enforcers" in the IRS to make sure we submit . . . this type of bill has been determined, by the highest court of the land, to be not only "acceptable," but constitutional.

A few months ago, Mr. Obama was ranting about the nerve of a "bunch of unelected" guys in robes to dare even consider the constitutionality of his masterpiece. To this layman's eye, it appears that Justice Roberts, as the deciding majority vote, wanted to want to show Mr. Obama that he was wrong . . . they really would not dare to declare his masterpiece unconstitutional, regardless of the evidence.

Yet, I take hope in the opinion of some who point out that the fact of having to redefine this disaster from the description officially given it by the regime ("mandate," meaning to impose, force upon; which is strangely unobjectionable, under certain circumstances, apparently) to something supposedly more acceptable (a "tax"), also places it in a realm much easier to repeal.

Congress can impose taxes, Congress can remove taxes. Fine. The next Congress should have enough of a majority of reasonable Citizens tired of witnessing the destruction of their country to immediately prepare legislation to remove this outrageous monstronsity from the necks of the American people.

The question, however, remains . . . and is frightening, to me, in terms of believing we still live in a thriving Republic is: why the hell did the U.S. Supreme Court provide an "out" for this administration by essentially showing them how to get their bill determined to be constitutional?

A naive, frustrated explosive response would be: "Whose side are they on, anyway??" Can't possibly be the side of the American people if they have to create an excuse almost out of whole cloth to assist this administration to get their law "constitutionalized."

Either the mandate -- the core of the law, without which none of the rest can survive -- is constitutional, or it is not.

The Court should in no way have told the Administration: "Look, you presented your case so badly in front of us we feel sorry for you . . . you should have declared it from the start as a tax, and there would have been no question. Even though you touted for months (years) that this is not a tax, the only way we can legitimize it is to deem it a tax, no matter what you want to call it. So, we'll help you out, since your ability to present the supposed merits is a bit weak -- we'll determine for you what your argument needs to be in order for us to support it. Voila! It's a TAX, and therefore constitutional."

Some slight of hand, huh?

If the majority had decided to support the core contention that the mandate is unconstitutional, I suppose all thought inside our own heads would be drowned out by the howls of the administration's screaming about a "bunch of unelected men."

But, that lovely thought is not applicable today. We currently live in an upside-down world, the Constitution is constantly gutted, the elected leaders of our country abrogate their responsibility to the majority of their constituents to submit not only themselves, their standards, but also our own to the control of the government.

In my not so humble opinion as an American citizen, by allowing this atrocity to stand in toto, the Supreme Court has legitimized the fundamental transformation of our Country into a totalitarian nightmare.

November 2012, can't get here too quickly, Lord willing!Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-50841168325039957702012-06-20T21:26:00.001-04:002012-06-20T21:26:45.052-04:00"Upside-Down Land"<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I received this in a forwarded e-mail today and was going to just post the link, <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">http://www.americanreform.org/member-blog/comments/our_upside_down_land<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">, but as I read it over, I realized it is worth posting in toto.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Today's world is absolutely upside-down, backwards, and inside out. I tend to try to tell myself that we have been vaporized without our knowledge and transported to a world where up is down and down is up, where white is black and black is white -- since 2007-08, anyway, and we will wake up soon. (Yeah, yeah, too many *original* Star Trek episodes are showing their influence.)

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Today's world is a world in which most of us who are over 50 (who remember a different [better] America) are constantly shocked, surprised, incensed, frightened, and "mind-boggled" over the occurrences of the past 4 years or so.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This detailed, sourced post is an extremely accurate representation of where we are today. The primary question that's been bothering me for the past almost 4 years has been: How the hell did this happen??? Immediately followed by Why the hell did this happen????

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Answers come to mind for both questions; not one of them is a good enough answer, though.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The unfortunate majority of the American people allowed themselves to be overwhelmed by an imposed-guilt based "racism."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The unfortunate majority of the American people really, really, really seemed to believe -- or at least wanted to believe -- that just by electing a man who happened to be black, the act would magically erase that imposed guilt.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The unfortunate majority of the American people really, really, really seemed to believe -- or at least wanted to believe -- that even if that black man had no qualifications whatsoever to be the senator he had been, much less President elect of the United States of America, it was a "good thing" to elect him anyway.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The unfortunate majority of the American people really, really, really seemed to believe -- or at least wanted to believe -- that maybe there was a black man who could "show" the country that blacks were (finally!) equal . . . after all, all the media said so, right?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Finally, and this one's my favorite, because I believe it to be most accurate:

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> 5. The unfortunate majority of the American people were just plain stupid!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The link posted above, I think, absolutely delineates the most concerning aspects of what has occured in the past 3+ years to fundamentally transform our Republic into a pseudo-totalitarian, pseudo-banana republic, the laughingstock of the world.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This is what the unfortunate majority of the American people really wanted? I honestly do not think it is -- even the very far Left whose primary regret is that the transformation is not complete and (Dear God willing!) will never be complete!

For those who were honestly duped, allowed themselves to be duped, pulled into the world of "guilt," or allowed their liberal-tinged dreams to take over -- even they must be in shock. Even they can't possibly have thought our country would be so easily and rapidly taken to the brink of total destruction.

In a very short few months, we will go to the polls again to vote for President of the United States of America.

In a few short months, we will decide whether our Country will accelerate its deterioration into a nonentity subservient to the control of the "United Nations" or start the slow and very difficult return to the full-fledged, independent, proud, self-sufficient Republic envisioned by our forefathers.

God willing it is the latter.

Those voices were drowned out, derided, insulted, and attempts were made to try to "legally" shut down their First Amendment rights. Much of that activity was conducted primarily by the so-called "mainstream media" who claimed then, and now, to know better than any of us for whom we should vote, what we should think, say, and do vis-a-vis the candidates and the election (not to mention everything else in life, for that matter).

Those "media" voices were targeted towards those they saw as the primary supporters of their candidate: the youthful voter with the stars of liberalism shining so brightly in their eyes they were unable to see anything else. Tell me, who else could possibly consider Jon Stewart's program as "real news"??

Those of us who grew up with Saturday Night Live's Chevy Chase reporting the "news" can't possibly believe there are really and truly so many gullible people out there . . . but, there are and they unfortunately vote: The Real Obama Supporters.

These are the ones who brought Obama to the White House, not alone, of course -- there were, at the time, hardly enough of them to carry an election by themselves. They were, unfortunately, aided by too, too many who should -- and probably did -- know better than to vote for that man.

I can only hope that the "real Obama supporters" have 1) gotten themselves informed: a possibility when one considers the drop in viewership and revenue to the "top 3" mainstream networks; 2) grown up: doubtful, since too many are so eager to continue to live off (mooch off) their parents, the taxpayers, and anyone else they can bamboozle into being responsible for them; or 3) burned their voter registration cards: which may not matter, considering the push to allow anyone in the country to vote in all elections, regardless of citizenship.

Personally, I hope for none of the above -- anyone who could have voted for this man in the first place has little to no hope of redemption if they are still "supporters" at this point in time. It is no surprise that the Hollywood crowd is still incredibly vocal in their support . . . their own livelihoods depend on a public willing to pay good money to watch whatever kind of stupidity, idiocy, or brain dead production they deem "good enough" for us to watch. They count on the same kind of public that Obama supporters are -- brain dead.

The political, emotional, philosophical, and physical civil union between politics and Hollywood was consummated in the campaign leading to the November 1959 voting which resulted in the election of JFK: the Hollywood, "news" media, and even mafia favorite (if one believes the stories of the time).

That constituency is out in force this year, again, though it leaves one's brain boggled to think that people out there are actually getting voting guidance from Sarah Jessica Parker! (Interesting, even with these "powerhouse" supporters, Obama does not seem close to raising the vaunted "billion" he demanded at the start of the year! . . . A sign of the his times, perhaps?)

We -- the loyal to the United States of America opposition -- must make sure this year that the voices that pushed Obama into the Winner's Circle in November 2008 do not achieve the same this year. The stakes are incredibly high -- whether the United States of America has even a slight chance of returning to its former greatness, or whether our country continues its not so slow deterioration into a less than third rate country.
I call it wienie-ville.

Mychal Massie, my latest wonderful
discovery in the blogosphere (how in heavens did I miss him out there
for so long???), states an issue against which I have spent innumerable hours
yelling at the TV screen extremely well.

We tend to have Fox on the tube pretty
much every day in our household, when we're not watching NCIS marathons, or Jeopardy or HGTV, or ID-TV, but very
often, I find their intensity in trying to present a "balanced" view
of things quite tiresome. At those times, I find myself screaming at the screen, telling them to "get a grip," and "don't you see what they're doing??" Mr. Massie makes an excellent case about
how Fox's intent to be "balanced" seems to give so much (too much?) leeway to the worst type of liberal talking heads.

Sure, I get what they're trying to do:
theoretically show both sides of the issues "equally," . .
. but there are times (especially on Shep's and Megyn's shows) they appear to be looking more for the
sensationalistic action piece rather than the truly newsworthy segments they tend to tease.

Even though Megyn's is not really and
truly a "news" program (as far as I'm concerned), say in the same vein as Brett's 6pm
slot, there are often stories about "breaking news" and
supposed important issues that must be reported during her time slot. I like Megyn,
in general, as a broadcaster: easy on the eyes, engaging, self-deprecating, funny, and pretty smart. Actually, she and Shepard Smith both
remind me of that great ole song "Dirty Laundry" which
wonderfully epitomizes broadcast news in general.

A personal aside: I happened to be working as the secretary in the news department of a major network affiliate in Miami at the time the song came out. It typifies the reasons I quit the job before having a new one waiting -- it was a matter of self-preservation to get out of that atmosphere. That experience also represented that last period of my life during which I "believed" what was "reported" without question on "the news."

One would hope, regardless, that a
station of the level of Fox (at least of the level most of their
programs attempt to maintain) would try harder to keep a better quality
in those they choose to interview to represent "the other side."

My husband's theory is that they select
folks like Jehmu Greene and Bob Beckel certainly not only to show the
"other side," but to also liven things up. True, imagine how
completely boring the shows would be overall if all we had were folks
who agreed with each other non-stop? (Even though that's the kind of Kumbaya-esque nirvana liberals claim to hope for.) On a certain level, maybe that
would not be all that bad (everyone agreeing with the Conservative perspective); on another level, I think it is
quite important to keep showing both sides right from the horses'
mouths.

If one was just merely told of the level of
ugliness and disgusting commentary to which so many liberals do not
hesitate to sink just to try to make a point, most logical, honest
people would never believe it. When we see and hear the examples,
however, it is undeniable.

One must be a liberal -- at least
unthinking -- one's self in order to find anything stated by most
liberal talking heads to be in the least acceptable.

However, it does get pretty difficult
to accept when the disgusting blather is not only given a very wide
audience and encouraged by the very hosts who are supposed to
maintain a modicum of decorum and "balance."

O'Reilly’s another one who sometimes
appears to go overboard with the so-called "even-handedness"
of FNC. There are countless opportunities to respond strongly to
outrageous comments made by liberals he interviews which he seems to let "pass"
in the name of "fairness."

Personally, I call it wienie-ness. If
one holds to certain beliefs, they must be defended, no matter where
or by whom those beliefs are attacked. Megyn should respond as
strongly to Greene as Hannity responds to Bob Beckel, even though
Hannity makes no bones as to his friendship with the man. (I guess
personal knowledge provides an aspect of the man's personality unseen
on TV.) Even O'Reilly has been known to get "strong-voiced"
when the liberal blather goes over the line. I just wish he would do it
more often and not let so many inappropriate, ugly, inaccurate and
just plain lies go unchallenged.

As far as Mr. Massie's perspective,
however, I would not say Megyn's lack of demand for accountability
from the likes of Greene is really "racist." (That's one
word that has been drained of all meaning and intensity from overuse
these past 5+ years!)

I sincerely think Megyn and Shepard (even though I think he's perfect example of the so-called "undecideds") are
really just trying to make an effect and keep their ratings going . .
. playing to their audience demographic, I would expect, pretty much
as described by Mr. Henley in that really, really good ole song.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">www.sergiopolitics.org<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> for even reading my blog, and then asking for more of my opinions (!!), it feels good to share the following questions posed by Mr. Veskovic and my responses presented in an "interview" format.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: What
are your thoughts about Mitt Romney as a GOP candidate?

Romney was not my first choice; I
was disappointed that my preference did not make it through to the
nomination. As in all political life issues, however, the choice goes
to the people . . . and we have to live with that choice. The part
that bothers me more than anything else, is that we all have
to live with the choice of the majority . . . as we are now with
Obama.

On the night of that infamous
election, I told my husband, “We are f*ed.” Because I had not
only seen, heard and understood Obama's response to Joe Wurzelbacher,
I knew my instinctive reaction to Obama from the start of his
campaign was right on the money. It had been so clear to me and to
many, many other foreign-born, naturalized American citizens (not to
mention hundreds of thousands of very smart Americans) that
the mantra we had heard from Obama throughout his almost 3 years-long
campaign was nothing less than socialist propaganda.

Romney, at
least, does not create that violent, fear-filled reaction in anyone.
(Mrs. Pelosi's overheated rhetoric does not count.) I do not think
Mr. Romney is as Conservative politically as I would prefer: I
think it will take the equivalent of a very hard right turn in our
politics to get our Country even slightly headed in the direction we
should be, if guided by the Constitution. I am not entirely confident
that Mr. Romney is capable of that much of a hard right at the helm
of our Country.

Regardless, I believe that Mr.
Romney's cabinet choices will engender more confidence in his strong
desire and ability to bring the Country around, stand up to the many
detractors, the many discordant, ugly, and contrary voices that will
doubtless continue maniacally trying to tear our country down.

Mr. Romney is not my favorite
choice, but as far as it goes now, he is the only choice and has
my vote and confidence.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: What do you
think about Obama and his chances for re-election?

If more people start speaking out as
fearlessly as many have recently, the chances of Obama's re-election
are quite slim, possibly getting slimmer. Those who were able to
convince themselves they were choosing correctly in 2008 have now, to
a great extent, come to their senses. Their shock at what has been
happening to their country in front of their eyes – aided by their
own votes has doubtlessly shown them their error in judgment.

I find it quite encouraging to hear
so many Republicans and so-called “Independents,” and even some
Democrats, start to regret their vote . . . “buyer's remorse,” as
it has been deemed. I call it allowing one's self to look for an
excuse for one's own gullibility, sense of imposed guilt, and intense
need to be “politically correct” to the extreme, resulting in
voting for a man who had no business being a state legislator, much
less be elected to the highest office of this country.

Reality tells me this man should not
have the least possible chance of re-election. Regrettably, when I
listen to an unfortunately significant number of my fellow citizens,
I fear the chances may be slightly higher. Considering the fact that
I would never have expected this man to have been elected in first
place, yet he was, I have to hesitate, considering the mentality of a
great number of our fellow citizens, to state definitively that he
has little chance.

In essence, I do not think he would
have been elected had two essential issues not converged in 2008:
what I consider the complete betrayal of the American public by the
“main stream” media, and the unfortunate weakness of the
Republican candidate. I've never been a believer that only the
economic crash of 2008 was the only trigger, though it was, of course
part of it.

The economic crash was used in a
politically masterful, even Machiavellian manner not seen since the
machinations of the '60s between Kennedy and LBJ. (Anyone notice a
correlation, there?)

In sum, if people remain stupid and
gullible, Obama may well be re-elected; if not, the country has more
chance to survive.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: What do you
think will be the main issue in November election?

That will entirely depend on which
side has the better grasp of the use of propaganda, pabulum, and
bromides . . . and how many more of the electorate have educated
themselves in politics, economics, and the Constitution of the United
States of America.

It should, of course, be “the
economy, stupid,” but with today's populace, one never knows.

To me, it is an atrophied brain that
is capable of listening to the nonsense spewed by the White House
mouthpieces and not run screaming in complete frustration and anger.
The Left has made inroads already in public thinking, engendering a
seemingly complete lack of interest in the realities of life, even if
those realities are hitting them square between the eyes.

Based on the mentality, laziness,
and apathy of a great number of our voting public, it is almost a
fact – as unfortunate as it may be – that the main issue will
devolve to one of the most inane aspects of today's life: which
candidate is more “personally popular” instead of which candidate
is most qualified.

As pessimistic as that may appear,
however, I retain my personal hope that the main issue will be
reflected in President Reagan's question: “Are you better off today
than you were 4 years ago?”

Any self-sufficient, individual will
have a strong, resounding “No!” in response, thereby making the
economy the main issue, as it should be.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: How do you think Social Media will
play a role in this campaign? and can you compare it to Obama's
campaign of 2008?

Social media's role in the 2008
election was primarily focused by the Obama campaign to their primary
constituents: the young, high school and college age youngsters who
were swept away by the “Obama Aura” . . . an absolute reflection
of “style over substance” which has clearly been more important
to young people these past several generations. Because the young are not much known for critical
thinking, discernment, and logic, social media was the perfect medium
for getting them corralled and moving in the direction demanded by
the campaign.

Four years later, I think there has
been enough awakening, realization, and economic and political
changes to perhaps significantly lessen the effect of social media.
Facebook, for example has suffered a major setback quite recently. I
have canceled my subscription; my last communication was a detailed
explanation of exactly why I canceled. The reasons included what I
called my “last straws” . . . actions on the site, accepted by
the site, the hypocrisy of the site and the creators. I have
encouraged many of my friends to cancel as well. That leaves (among others, of course) Twitter,
blogs, websites, each of which have their own limitations.

The most important factor this year
in the battle of social media is that Conservatives have acquired the
technology and have become just as adept in using the various media
to disseminate their ideas, ideology, and premises. At this point,
it's a matter of which side will better express themselves in the
“language” easiest for the masses to comprehend.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: What is your opinion of Super PACs
and its influence in this race?

I have to admit, I'm not too
knowledgeable about what this issue is all about, primarily because I
have ignored it for the most part. I do not see anything wrong with
groups of citizens to gather, pool resources and funds to work for
the election of a preferred candidate.

The Citizens United lawsuit and the
ultimate Supreme Court Decision supporting it, I feel, shows that
“Super PACs” do have their place (in spite of Mr. Obama's selective description) – as they have always had in
all elections to this point. If a candidate engenders such support as
to encourage citizens with the funds to come together in support of
that candidate, then I feel the only ones complaining about “Super
PACs” will be the candidate whose support does not
include that level of support.

As an
individual citizen, I see absolutely nothing wrong with a group of
citizens gathering funding and support for one candidate or another.
In a truly fair world,
the outcome would reflect the triumph of the one whose PACs were the
most successful . . . sort of as in the 2008 election outcome.

Hopefully,
Conservatives will not only have acquired more ability in the use of
“social” media to spread the word, but also better use of PACs to
purchase air time for better prepared commercials and broadcast
presentations.

Sergio Veskovic,www.sergiopolitics.org: If you have some other thought you
would like to share please feel free.

I have two
additional thoughts to share here and a prayer, really, that the electorate that participated
in the election of Obama in November 2008 will have come to their
senses and not commit the same grievous error in November 2012.

It is imperative
that Romney's campaign and that of the Super PACs continue to focus
on the economy as it is Obama's major “Achilles' Heel." Both Romney
and the Super PACs should be following Karl Rove's Super PAC
example. They are almost entire tuned to highlighting the state of
the economy today and giving the specific facts of what caused those
issues. They put the questions out there, requiring that any thinking
person determine for themselves whether the current economic policies
will alleviate any of the problems.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I want to again thank Sergio for his interview and interest in actually giving me more time and a new forum in which to "share" my opinions.
Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-7857210419589650402012-05-23T19:26:00.002-04:002012-05-23T20:23:30.178-04:00The "Islamification" of America<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">It sure as heck has been a while since I visited my own forum! I've been all over the countryside of posters, though, from Facebook, to Twitter, to any web page using Disqus (however that's spelled!), though mostly Facebook.

I recently cancelled my Facebook account, though, for political, moral, and ideological reasons. More about that soon.

What brings me back today is an extraordinary e-mail I received that synthesizes one of the most dangerous and ignored problems our country faces today: the "Islamification" of America.

Though I can already hear the liberal howls of "racist," etc., my response is immediate: Not hardly so don't even start! I am not in the least intimidated by those howls -- I wasn't in 2006-2007-2008 (during the current incumbent's campaign) and I certainly will not be in 2012 -- especially when all the concerns we expressed then have proven themselves true.

I consider myself quite knowledgeable in the history of Muslims, their take over of different countries' areas, their take over of cities' neighborhoods, councils, and the insidious imposition of their control. As always, the future is clear to those who can read the past clearly and in an unvarnished light. Unfortunately, due to the complete liberal bent of those in control of education, "news" papers and broadcasters, the unvarnished truth is almost a completely unknown animal these days.

I admittedly have neither the time nor the energy these days to conduct the necessary research to substantiate the claim of this piece's title, but fortunately others do. The following is adapted<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat and pretty much says it straight.

The following is a fairly short, though highly informative read, sent by a VFW Member in upstate New York where there are already "Muslim" compounds owned and restricted by Muslims. This is spelled out in the Muslim "system," not "religion" but system. It is mathematically accurate and defines the reasons why "co-existence" isn't possible -- simply because it is not allowed. My intent is not to inflame, but to inform; as the old saying says, "to be forewarned is to be forearmed."

THIS, not the Chinese or the Russians, represents the greatest threat to the United States, specififcally, and to the world in general, and might be the fulfillment of the book of Revelation in the Holy Bible.

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.

"Islamization" begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.

Here's how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will, for the most part, be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

United States -- Muslim 0.6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal ("clean" by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law.
The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Muhammad cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections in:

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53..1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, "peace" is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims [and all non-Muslims] for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine, I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, The Haj

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. [Emphasis added.] There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.

A few items of note:

Obama appoints two devout Muslims to Homeland Security posts.

NASA's mission has been revised from space exploration to building relationships with the Muslim world.

Obama and Janet Napolitano appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim who was born in Damascus , Syria , as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

A few items to think about:

Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant?

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions?

Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 10 years ago?

Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

Can a good, devout Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a someone who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34)

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression... Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation ... perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good Muslims" and good Americans. Call it what you will, it's still the truth. The more Americans who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. Our country is at war, has been for longer than most Americand understand. And even in these many post 09-11-2001 years, most Americans do not understan the extent of the religious war gathering against America: it is bigger than most know or even understand.

Food for thought: Given the above specifications, can a Muslim be a good American soldier?

Example: Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at Ft. Hood and killed 13 innocent people who happened to be, in his context, "infidels." He is a "good Muslim."

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The above is an extremely clear, and frighteningly thorough description of exactly what has occurred historically throughout the world when Muslims take over neighborhoods, cities, towns, countries. We see it now, in various localities throughout our country. We hear it in the decision of the circuit judge who declares that he will take Sharia into consideration when making his decisions -- in an American court of law.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">We should all be shocked, horrified, and pulling out the Constitution of the United States of America to emphatically wave in that man's and all similar people's faces.

As the liberal howls of "racist," "discriminatory," and other blather grow louder and more strident, I will ask only this:

Will Americans start to finally stand up for our own heritage, history, customs and ideals in 2012?

Why is it "discriminatory" and "racist" for Americans to want to maintain, sustain, and live our lives under our Constitution and not "racist" or "discriminatory" for those who detest our way of life to want to eradicate that way of life from within our own country?

This last is not specifically targeted to Muslims, but also to the encroachment from Mexican and other "latino" citizens who want us to make our American way of life subservient to theirs.

As a former legal resident of the United States, originally born in another country, and now proudly an American citizen, I would ask them: why not go back to your own country, if that way of life was so wonderful?

Those of us who came to America to escape terrible ways of life in our native countries do not think is necessary for Muslims, Cubans, Mexicans to "share" -- rather, in truth, try to impose -- their ways of life on those of us who wish to be Americans.

Simple fact is, if we as Americans wanted to live your way of life, be it Muslim ot "latino," we would go to your countries.

Not happening, much, though is it. Wonder why?
Hope It Works, This TimeJust in case you were still wavering about who to vote for on 11/2/2010 in terms of which candidate would have the best interests of our country and We the People at heart . . . here's reminder of some "warnings" given prior to the 11/4/2008 Presidential election.

These warnings clearly described what Mr. Obama intended to impose on the country in the name of "social justice." Unfortunately, not enough of the majority listened to the warnings then . . . and here we are now.

These numbers were compiled not by me but by knowledgeable individuals. Don't just take my/their word for it . . . go do your own research; this information is (still) easily accessible online and elsewhere. Then, do what you must do now to prepare yourselves and your families for the continuing financial destruction of our country -- IF we don't start to make drastic and dramatic changes to the Congress on 11/2/2010.

Take a look at this list and see for yourself whether or not the warnings in 2008 about Mr. Obama and his plans were accurate before the 2008 elections.

If you do see how accurate the warnings were then, please heed them now and make sure to vote for the best qualified candidates who will really "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" as opposed to those who continue to want to "fundamentally transform" our Country into a Socialist State.

If you do not see the accuracy of the warnings from 2008 and are not even more frightened than you should have been, then, maybe where we are now is where you feel our Country should be . . .

Originally appeared in late 2008, shortly prior to the Presidential elections.

INTERESTING DATA ON TAXES

This is something you should be aware of so you don't get blind-sided. This is really going to catch a lot of families off guard. It should make you worry.

These were the proposed changes in taxes to take effect after the 2008 General election according to each candidate:

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN: 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain did not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA: 28% tax on profits from ALL home sales.

This, of course, is dependent on whether one can even sell one's house at all. We pulled our house off the market in early 2009. We're just going to wait to see if the market value ever breaks even with the mortgage balance one of these years, (ideally before we pay it off).

How does this affect the country?

If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your "capital gain" profits in taxes. Those "profits" are generally what allow people to put a substantial down payment on the next, ideally upgraded, house. If this tax stays, better rethink upgrading to a larger or "nicer" home . . .ever.

If you are heading toward retirement (as millions of us are) and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. In addition to those who simply want to "upgrade" to another home, this will particularly adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

Add this to the $500,000 cut in Medicare funds along with the administration's concerted efforts to destroy all the "Medicare advantage plans" (such as Humana), and the forthcoming taxes from the "health care reform" plan, senior citizens had better prepare very quickly to be able to take care of themselves by themselves. Those of us who are quickly heading to that category had better pay close attention, too.

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN 15% (no change was proposed)

OBAMA 39.6% increase

How will this affect you?

If you have any money invested in stock market -- and most of us do in one way or another: IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president.

The experts predict that 'higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains' would crash the stock market yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.

In case you missed it, this take over was implemented in August/September 2010 when the government passed regulations on individual retirement accounts.

INCOME TAX -- These were related to the supposed Bush Tax Cuts "for the rich" that Obama claims are "unfair to the middle class." It seems to me, dummy that I may be, that when 01/01/2011 rolls around and the current tax levels have been allowed to expire by our cowardly representatives, ALL taxpayers will get quite a hit in the financial gut, whether or not we are "rich" by any one's definition.

The current tax rates that have been in place for 10 years are:

* Single person making 30K/year pays $4,500/year in taxes

* Single person making 50K/year pays $12,500/year in taxes

* Single person making 75K/year pays $18,750/year in taxes

* Married couple making 60K/year pays $9,000/year in taxes

* Married couple making 75K/year pays $18,750/year in taxes

* Married couple making 125K/year pays $31,250/year in taxes

The above does not even reflect other tax deductions such as the "earned income" tax credit for people who don't meet a certain minimum and a myriad of other deductions that used to be available to the middle class as well as the so-called "rich."

The OBAMA Tax Plan effective 01/01/2011 will be for all Americans -- NOT just the supposed big, bad "rich:"

* Single person making 30K/year will pay $8,400/year (almost double from 2010)

* Single person making 50K/year will pay $14,000/year ($1,500 increase from 2010)

* Single person making 75K will pay $23,250/year ($4,500 increase from 2010)

* Married couple making 60K will pay $16,800/year ($7,800 increase from 2010)

* Married couple making 75K/year will pay $21,000/year ($2,500 increase from 2010)

* Married couple making 125K/year will pay $38,750/year ($7,500 increase from 2010)

Under Obama your taxes will more than double! How does this affect you? No explanation needed. This is pretty straightforward.

Personally, that tax table scares the living daylights out of us. Where are we going to have any small funds left to even survive with the bare necessities?

This is the "social justice" and "leveling the playing field" that Mr. Obama spent two years spouting during his presidential campaign -- yes, all two years of it, not including 2008.

Is this what the majority of folks thought he was talking about? I would say, more than likely not. Unfortunately not enough of the regular We the People listened closely enough or paid enough attention to realize what the main was saying very clearly: "share the wealth!"

But, in case you need a hint . . .

Increased taxes mean less money in our pockets to spend on anything from keeping a roof over our heads (and all the attached costs), to a car in the driveway (and all the attached costs), to food on our tables (and all the attached costs), to clothes on our backs.

Increased taxes mean we have less money for "stuff" and "activities." (Not to go off on a tangent . . . maybe none of that matters when put in the context of the government telling us what to eat, wear, drive, and where to go for entertainment . . .)

Regardless, less spending on "stuff" and "activities" (i.e., movies, restaurants, shopping, trips, etc) means that those whose livelihoods depend on those expenditures will likely go out of business -- like the millions upon millions of small business owners who will feel the tax increases like a sledgehammer to the gut.

I do not think any one's taxes should increase. I am not proponents of class warfare and feel no animosity towards those who worked their butts off to earn their money, except for the millionaire career politicians (Reid, Pelosi, Obama, Boxer, Biden, Rangel, et al) who have made their fortunes off the backs of the taxpayers.

Those who worked hard for their money -- whatever amount they earn themselves, through the sweat of their brow -- should keep the majority portion -- not just what the government feels is "enough."

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA: Restore the inheritance tax

This reinstatement is already in place and in effect. How does this affect you?

Many families have lost businesses, farms and ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax.

If you're just waiting for a rich uncle to die and leave you the funds, well, forget it. You'll probably end up owing more to the government than you even inherit. Those who leave their assets to loves ones will most likely lose these assets.

It almost makes better fiscal sense to have it buried with you!

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA

As of October 2010, the majority of these taxes have either already been implemented or are on the verge of going into effect in 2011.

* New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet (related to "energy efficiency")

* New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already. These taxes are to "encourage" the purchase of "green" vehicles . . . whenever they are supposedly affordable enough!)

* New cigarette taxes (As if force and coercion work with everyone.)

* New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity).

Obama had clearly said that energy costs would "necessarily skyrocket" when his energy plan went into effect. Although Cap-n-Tax was stalled in the Senate this time, there are lots and lots of corollary energy "regulations" already in the pipeline from the EPA. In case you missed that . . . the EPA now no longer reports to the Congress.

* New taxes on retirement accounts

On top of the increased income taxes, inheritance taxes, investment taxes, health care taxes, and energy taxes . . .

Sounds like "Utopia" to me, don't ya think?!? A real "workers' paradise!"

And last but not least...

* New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries . . . you know, the ones whose government representatives come to the US for their health care.

Wonder where they'll go now? We better pay attention . . . that may be our only option to stay alive, too.

It's up to us now folks to make sure that this time we get it right. We have got to get rid of every single "representative" who voted to pass any of the economy destroying "plans" from late 2008, January 2009 to the end of the current 2010 Congressional session.

If we don't get the right folks up to DC starting in January 2011 and continuously from then on for years, we may as well kiss the Republic of the United States of America good-bye forever.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-48750159901145432762010-06-29T13:04:00.000-04:002010-06-29T13:04:36.131-04:00An open letter from actor Jon Voight to President ObamaAll Americans should beg to sign their names to this letter! It is encouraging to see that not all American voices are fearful of speaking out and of wanting to be heard. Let us all hope and pray that the courage of those like Mr. Voight will infect the rest of us who are very afraid for the future of our country.
Let us pray and hope that we will be infected with the strength and courage to stand up and fight against those whose sole intent is to destroy our Republic.

June 22, 2010

President Obama:

You will be the first American president that lied to the Jewish people, and the American people as well, when you said that you would defend Israel, the only Democratic state in the Middle East, against all their enemies. You have done just the opposite. You have propagandized Israel, until they look like they are everyone's enemy — and it has resonated throughout the world. You are putting Israel in harm's way, and you have promoted anti-Semitism throughout the world.

You have brought this to a people who have given the world the Ten Commandments and most laws we live by today. The Jewish people have given the world our greatest scientists and philosophers, and the cures for many diseases, and now you play a very dangerous game so you can look like a true martyr to what you see and say are the underdogs. But the underdogs you defend are murderers and criminals who want Israel eradicated.

You have brought to Arizona a civil war, once again defending the criminals and illegals, creating a meltdown for good, loyal, law-abiding citizens. Your destruction of this country may never be remedied, and we may never recover. I pray to God you stop, and I hope the people in this great country realize your agenda is not for the betterment of mankind, but for the betterment of your politics.

With heartfelt and deep concern for America and Israel,

One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (an exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.

The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again.

You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps progressively pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc..

While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time.

One should always remember:

This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

"The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

<span style="color: red; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">Let us hope those who made this man president have regained enough of their senses to start undoing what they helped to create.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-76642312362391433042010-06-08T13:22:00.000-04:002010-06-08T13:22:38.642-04:00In a NutshellThe Issue in a NutshellMichelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-43246182729424007082010-06-08T11:59:00.000-04:002010-06-08T11:59:32.975-04:00Powerful T.E.A.

Honest Protest?

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This is the face of the protesters against the Arizona immigration law! Threats to shoot policemen, extraordinarily unreasonable and completely unrealistic demands, unhesitating breaking of federal laws . . .

And T.E.A. Movement activists were called "terrorists?"

As an immigrant, now a proud naturalized American, I must ask these folks: Where in heaven do they think they are "owed" anything from anyone?

Their behavior is an insult to all honest immigrants who came to this country legally, who worked hard for years, who made their way to the point they considered "success" for themselves and for their families. On what possible earthly basis do they place their demands for "free" anything?

I find their demands repugnant. Not only do they break this country's laws by coming here illegally in the first place, but on top of that breach, they have the nerve to make outrageous demands for things that even natural born Americans do not have.

On what basis on earth do they think they deserve to be "given" all those "free" things they demand? How on earth do they think they are "owed" those things?

It is outrageous!

Worse, we have a government pandering to these extortionist demands. President Bush had his part in it, along with Senator McCain, with their attempts in passing "amnesty," instead of enforcing established federal laws. It is no wonder, then, that the group currently in Washington would want to merely expand on that premise to the extreme -- open the gates, disregard our own laws, let the voting blocks in!

I would say to the Mexicans in Arizona, California, and elsewhere that they should just stop their stupidity. They are not owed a thing by this country. If they had chosen to come to America just as millions of other immigrants chose to come here -- legally, as opposed to sneaking across the border, they would easily access all options to be successful in their lives.

As legal aliens, they would have had the same options as all other legal immigrants who came here: follow the laws of this country, pursue happiness, and achieve whatever measure of success your own efforts and hard work permit. Whatever they desire for themselves they can work for and attain through the sweat of their brow, just as millions upon millions of immigrants have before them.

They are "owed" no more than the opportunity, just like everyone else in this country.

If they are incapable of legally achieving what they desire here, there is an entire world out there from which they can choose to try to be successful: Cuba, for instance, or Jamaica, or Iran, or Haiti ... or, dare we even suggest it . . . Mexico?Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0United States37.09024 -95.712891-23.327995 144.755859 90 23.818359tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-64814742133387631222010-06-02T10:11:00.003-04:002010-06-02T10:52:09.982-04:00Ooopsie-Daisy!He's Done Everything Wrong

I think it is morally reprehensible that people like Mort Zuckerman, chairman and editor in chief of U.S. News & World Report and publisher of the New York Daily News, now start their mea culpa for their part in doing such an intense disservice to our Country! These are supposedly astute, intelligent, knowledgeable, worldly, yada-yada people to whom we "little people" are expected to look for advice and guidance!

Their concerted, intense, and brainless support of Mr. Obama (Yes we can!) as he campaigned for the presidency was base and crass: their motives were more than suspect as is being proven in recent admissions. The goal in supporting Mr. Obama was solely to achieve the primary liberal dream of electing a black man to the high office of President of the United States of America.

The reasoning utilized, that "it was time" for a black man to be elected, supposedly to "prove" that our Country has moved past a supposed racial divide was revolting by any one's measure. As I noted to several friends who succumbed to the kumbyah moment, it is just as dishonest and racist to elect a person just because he is black, as it is to not elect someone solely on that basis.

In the case of Mr. Obama, there were millions, mountains of solid, reasonable, non-race based reasons not to elect him, but thanks to Mr. Zuckerman and his cohorts in the press, their only intent was to put a black face in the White House, at any cost, for any reason.

During 2006, 2007, and 2008, in what has to be the longest presidential campaign on record, it did not matter in the least to professionals such as Mr. Zuckerman, and capitalists such as Oprah Winfrey and the gaggle of successful, rich Hollywood supporters what this man was preaching. At the time, everything was "tingles" down one's leg and a breathless, almost orgasmic reaction to a clearly empty suit.

Well, here we have the results. In less than 18 months as President, Mr. Obama and his cabal have practically destroyed our economy, our health care system, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Mr. Zuckerman and his "peeps" are now scrambling to justify the unjustifiable. There was no earthly reason to elect this man in the first place -- except that he would be the first black president! A thoroughly racist premise, as far as I'm concerned.

Now, we are expected to simply accept that a man such as Zuckerman did not discern a hint of a problem when he heard Mr. Obama tell Joe Wurzelbacher that he would have to "share the wealth"?? This comment was among the most telling of the many made by Mr. Obama that clearly, starkly, and frighteningly stated his most fundamental position: socialism.

We are now expected to believe that a supposed capitalist such as Zuckerman did not immediately see the meaning of that response? We are to accept that the legions of "stars" and "celebrities," all intense capitalists themselves -- as proven by their wealth -- did not understand what Mr. Obama represented??

When Mr. Obama prattled on about "fundamentally changing" our Country, did it not occur to a supposedly successful journalist (I use that term very loosely, of course) such as Mr. Zuckerman to ask a silly little question such as, "How do you expect to do that?"

Oh no! No such uncomfortable, disconcerting questions were asked; the response then, would not need to be examined, nor would the motivations behind their intent to elect Mr. Obama need to be examined. Much, much easier to just turn off one's brain and succumb to the "good feelings" exuded by Mr. Obama's extraordinary (or so we were told) rhetoric.

I would remind Mr. Zuckerman and his ilk that a solid 47% of We the People did not naively and stupidly succumb to the "celebrity power" of this man . . . those are the people to whom Mr. Zuckerman and those like him owe an immense apology. We 47% are the people truly suffering and intensely fearful of what we face and what our country faces, unless drastic changes are made in November.

Despite all the shenanigans of the likes of moveon.org, SEIU, the "new" Black Panthers, and the intense, non-stop lobbying of the blind, mindless, robotic "youth vote" by the elitists in Hollywood and Washington, Mr. Obama's win was not a "mandate to rule." He was not elected by a "landslide;" he was not even elected by what could be termed an "overwhelming majority!"

I would strongly suggest to Mr. Zuckerman and his friends that if they truly regret their actions in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and if they truly realize the depths of their error in having supported Mr. Obama, that they put their money where their mouth is and support Conservatives for Congress in November . . . and help to save our Country from the path of total destruction on which they helped to place us.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0United States37.996162679728116 -94.57031254.3540801797281148 -154.3359375 71.638245179728116 -34.8046875tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-34716676793189562072010-06-01T13:43:00.000-04:002010-06-03T13:43:39.831-04:00"A Time for Courage"There seems to be a bit of "controversy" about this speech ... whether the man who gave it is black or not ....

I say, what difference does it make? I wish I could have written this speech!

It does not, should not make the least bit of difference what race this AMERICAN is! It only matters, as is excruciatingly clear in his words, that he is an AMERICAN who loves, and is afraid for, his country.

The words, thoughts, and intent should be celebrated and spread to cover our country as we go through this very difficult and dangerous period in our country's history.
Let us all join in echoing his stirring words like an anthem throughout the land.
TEXAS TEA PARTY SPEECH
AT THE TEA PARTY, a black man, Dr. Donald May delivered this message from the courthouse steps in Lubbock. He electrified the audience like I haven't seen in a long time. His delivery was masterful. I am sorry you could not see him in action. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy his words. The news media were there, but not one word of this man’s appearance ever appeared on TV or in print, even though he completely dominated the scene.
This is A Time For Courage

April 15, 2009 – 11:49 pm

"Ladies and gentlemen, This is a time for courage.

"We are gathered here today on the Plains of West Texas in common purpose. We are here to remind our government that this is our country, We the People are still in charge, and our government is still our servant and not our master.

"Our Nation’s founding document is The Declaration of Independence. It tells us that our rights come from God and not from a small group of elite men and women.

"Our Constitution starts with the words “We the People.” Our Constitution was written for ordinary Americans like you and me. Our Constitution protects us from our government and from the politicians.

"Our President has complained that our Constitution gives ordinary people too much protection. He has ridiculed us for the high value we place on our Bibles, our guns, our personal property, and our liberty. He tells us we do not deserve to keep the money we have earned. We are told freedom has not worked. Personal responsibility, free enterprise, and Liberty have not been effective. Our government will now make more of our decisions for us. Other than our military, I can think of not one government agency I have ever found to be helpful.

"And speaking of our military, how about those Navy Seals blowing the heads off those three terrorist pirates? Don’t you just wish our entire government would function with such efficiency, professionalism, and courage? We watch in disbelief as our beloved United States is weakened economically, militarily, and morally by a radical President and his eager accomplices. What has taken generations to build is systematically destroyed and replaced with the same Socialist evil that brought poverty, destruction, and despair to untold hundreds of millions.

"The problems we face today have occurred because we have not defended our Nation from Socialism. For too long we have allowed the wrong people to make the worst possible decisions. The Bible warns us of class hatred. The radical leadership of our government daily fans the evil flames of class envy. Our European and Canadian friends beg us to not make the same Socialist mistakes they did. The President of the European Union warned our President that his Socialist economic plans are taking the world down the “road to Hell.”

"The path to power for Socialists includes taking God and guns from the citizens. Without spiritual and physical protection, people cannot defend themselves and their liberty. They soon become slaves. We are angered that our President apologizes for the exceptionalism and heroism of the United States of America. We are deeply troubled he told others the United States is not a Christian nation. We are angered that we have been called cowards and racists because we oppose Socialism. Socialism is not racial. Socialism is an equal opportunity destroyer. We are angered that a recent Department of Homeland Security report has singled out our military men and women who are returning home as being radical threats. The report also characterizes you and me as right-wing extremists and radicals because we favor smaller government and lower taxes.

"You and I are average citizens who believe just like most of our fellow Americans. We want our government to leave us alone and to keep its hands off our money, our religion, or guns, our private property, and our lives. We demand that our government stop spending money it does not have.

"Stop confiscating our money and private property.

"Stop printing money.

"Stop subsidizing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the other failed financial institutions and companies.

"Mr. President, stop appointing tax cheats to positions of power and influence.

"Mr. President, secure our borders.

"Mr. President, do not divert money from our missile defense, F-22 Raptors, and other vital military equipment. This gives encouragement, aid, and comfort to our enemies. Protecting us is your number one job.

"Mr. President, do not give voting rights to millions of illegal aliens and felons. You have no more right to create new voters for your benefit than you do to use our money to buy the 2010 and 2012 Elections.

"We gather peacefully here today because there is a growing concern for what our government is doing to us and to our future. We fear for the very survival of our Republic. Yet there is much to make us hopeful and to fill our hearts with optimism and courage. This is still our country! The Constitution of the Unites States belongs to We the People. Our Constitution still protects us from our government.

"Call every possible elected official, including our President, Vice President, and the Speaker of the House. Demand that they stop stealing our money and giving it to ACORN and their other political supporters in order to buy votes. Call Senators Cornyn and Hutchison, and (your) Representative. Thank them. Urge them to do much more. Remind them now is a time for action and not for campaigning.

"Volunteer to work on our 2010 Census. Confront ACORN. Keep our Census honest. We must not all ow our President to take control of our Census for his political advantage.

"We must replace as much of our far left Congress as possible in 2010. Get involved. Do not let ACORN control our 2010 Election.

"Talk with someone every day who does not understand our nation’s history and our great heritage. Tell them why the United States is a good and prosperous nation. It still remains that brightly lit city on the hill. It still is the best hope for all mankind.

"Talk with all of the young people you can find. They are our future. Many do not understand what they have and that their future is being destroyed.

"Encourage your elected State officials to pass legislation that will protect us from our Federal government. Governor Rick Perry and others are doing that right now for Texas. Thank them and pray for them.

"This is a time for strong peaceful action. Let us pray that We the People can quickly return our government to its Constitutional responsibilities. Our President and Congress were elected to be our servants and not our masters.

"May God help our President and Congress to quickly realize the error of their ways and stop their reckless and unwarranted spending, cut our taxes, and reduce the size of our Federal bureaucracy. If they do not, may God grant us the courage and determination to vote them out of power next year.

"May God richly bless and protect each of you, and our Constitution, as together we pursue Liberty!"
Delivered at the Lubbock, Texas, TEA Party by Dr. Donald May
As a naturalized American citizen, I find it to be the proverbial breath of fresh air to see a representative of our American government have the courage of his convictions and patriotism.

I would think that the American people who love and are proud of their country would loudly denounce the insults offered by the President of Mexico as he addressed Congress! It is bad enough that our own liberal representatives are so eager to acquiesce to and support all insults to our Country, but now we have presidents of other countries who see nothing wrong in standing in front of our own legislative bodies and insult the country straight out.

And, we were treated to the revolting sight of the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, and half the Congress applauding the insults!

It is about time that sincere, patriotic representatives in the House and Senate start standing up for, and defending, our Country. Lord knows, if they, who have the power, the voice, and the pulpit to do so do not say this loudly and strongly . . . who will?

We the People, with what little voice we do have, have been roundly ignored by Mr. Obama and his cohorts. It is past time that at least one strong, patriotic voice is heard!

Thank you, Representative McClintock!
I rise to take strong exception to the speech of the President of Mexico while in this chamber today.

The Mexican government has made it very clear for many years that it holds American sovereignty in contempt and President Calderon’s behavior as a guest of the Congress confirms and underscores this attitude.

It is highly inappropriate for the President of Mexico to lecture Americans on American immigration policy, just as it would be for Americans to lecture Mexico on its laws.

It is obvious that President Calderon does not understand the nature of America or the purpose of our immigration law.

Unlike Mexico’s immigration law -- which is brutally exclusionary -- the purpose of America’s law is not to keep people out. It is to assure that as people come to the United States, they do so with the intention of becoming Americans and of raising their children as Americans.

Unlike Mexico, our nation embraces immigration and what makes that possible is assimilation.

A century ago President Teddy Roosevelt put it this way. He said:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
That is how we have built one great nation from the people of all the nations of the world.

The largest group of immigrants now comes from Mexico. A recent RAND study discovered that during most of the 20th Century, while our immigration laws were actually enforced, assimilation worked and made possible the swift attainment of the American dream for millions of immigrants seeking to escape conditions in Mexico.

That is the broader meaning of our nation’s motto, “E Pluribus Unum” – from many people, one people, the American people.

But there is now an element in our political structure that seeks to undermine that concept of “E Pluribus Unum.” It seeks to hyphenate Americans, to develop linguistic divisions, to assign rights and preferences based on race and ethnicity, and to elevate devotion to foreign ideologies and traditions, while at the same time denigrating American culture, American values and American founding principles.

In order to do so, they know that they have to stop the process of assimilation. In order to do that, they must undermine our immigration laws.

It is an outrage that a foreign head of state would appear in this chamber and actively seek to do so. And it is a disgrace that he would be cheered on from the left wing of the White House and by many Democrats in this Congress.

Arizona has not adopted a new immigration law. All it has done is to enforce existing law that President Obama refuses to enforce. It is hardly a radical policy to suggest that if an officer on a routine traffic stop encounters a driver with no driver’s license, no passport, and who doesn’t speak English, that maybe that individual might be here illegally.

And to those who say we must reform our immigration laws – I reply that we don’t need to reform them – we need to enforce them. Just as every other government does. Just as Mexico does.

Above all, this is a debate of, by and for the American people. If President Calderon wishes to participate in that debate, I invite him to obey our immigration laws, apply for citizenship, do what 600,000 LEGAL immigrants to our nation are doing right now, learn our history and our customs, and become an American. And then he will have every right to participate in that debate.

Until then, I would politely invite him to have the courtesy while a guest of this Congress to abide by the fundamental rules of diplomacy between civilized nations not to meddle in each other’s domestic debates.Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0United States38.272688535980969 -101.254.7306595359809691 -161.015625 71.814717535980975 -41.484375tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2620190634314127603.post-24659811433340220642010-05-27T12:26:00.000-04:002010-05-27T12:26:13.823-04:00Repeating the Mistakes of the PastPlease note the year and source of the cartoon below. The similarities to today's political situation are shocking. Every single item depicted and deplored in the political commentary below is applicable today.

If one did not know the year of the original cartoon, one would immediately think it is a very contemporary representation of life and politics today, in 2010. Sadly, frighteningly, it is just as accurate today as it was in 1934.

One would think that 76 years later, We the People would have learned by now that liberalism is wrong, it is evil, and it does not work!
Clearly, the lessons of the past, unbridled government spending, increasing deficits, government control and attempts to destroy our Constitution. Our Country survived the previous attempts to destroy our history, our Country, our Constitution, and our future . . .

We must ensure that we survive the current attempts to destroy us as a Country. Our last chance, I truly feel and fear, is November, 2010.

This is our last chance to fight against the machine from Chicago that is working intensely to bring every single liberal dream on their decades long wish list to fruition, regardless of the ever-growing mountain of evidence that the majority of the American people have never wanted their brand of "governance" -- not then, and not now.

This is our last chance to tell the liberal machines that our Country is a Republic, a country of laws, with a Constitution and a Bill of Rights applicable to all American citizens (and legal residents).

This is our last chance to show the liberal machines that we do love and are proud of our Country and our History as it is, warts and ugliness and all. We must emphatically reject the culture of the left that requires a wholesale and dishonest revision of who we are as a Country and as Americans.

This is our last chance to leave a legacy of truth to the next generations of Americans and show them how we survived as pilgrims, as daring adventurers forging routes into wild, unknown territories, as slaves and slave owners (parts of every country's history), as warriors in a Civil War, and our arrival as a whole country with a common history and a common foundation of Truths that we believe.

This is our last chance to retain and maintain our Sovereignty as a Country, without submitting to the yoke of "global governance" so desired by the liberals for some unfathomable reason. We are not a colony in a "global" liberal, European-controlled world.

It would appear that there are enough reasons to look "over there" and decide that we Americans do not want or need to be "like them." There are infinite reasons to reject the demands of the left that we submit to the will of the Europeans, from the cultural problems they have created for themselves to the economic problems they are trying to completely blame on America.

Lord knows, we've made enough economic mistakes ourselves, thanks in no small part to the influence, control, and demands of the liberals in our own Congress. We certainly do not need to be additionally "guided" by the failed policies of the Europeans.

We are Americans. We have been since the inception and creation of this country. We have maintained our identity and independence as a country for 234 years! We cannot allow 4 short years of an extremely liberal administration to destroy everything our Country has worked for, bled for, and died to achieve.

We must stop the liberal, European-influenced machine from completely destroying everything Americans have worked so very hard for so very long to achieve.

We must not allow America to go the way of Europe!Michelehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03818326460590857396noreply@blogger.com0United States38.272688535980969 -97.7343754.7306595359809691 -157.5 71.814717535980975 -37.96875
